I received Territorial Seeds Company: www.territorialseed.com

Odd thing is, I've since received two e-mails (I'm on their list) stating they are hard at work on their new spring catalog and expect to have it out in the next few weeks. The one they sent says it's for Spring 2012. *shrug*

Okay, I just re-checked mine and of course you are correct. My "new" Territorial Seed catalog is marked Spring 2011. I apparently am determined to make a fool of myself on this forum when it comes to (calendar) dates!

I have to admit, none so far, but then again, I've never signed up for any and have to confess that so far all my seeds have been brought from home depot!

So, where SHOULD someone signup for seed catalogs for the first time, I'm planting in northern CA and am unlikely to buy lots (only have one 4x4 right now) and don't want to branch out into things that are too difficult to grow yet (my beets, which should be simple, are apparently failing, although I have no clue why).

You can sign up on the websites that everyone is posting. There's nothing wrong with seeds from the big box stores or other local stores. Catalogs have a broader and larger selection to choose from for those who want to try something different, for a variety of reasons like color, size, length of season, heirloom, flavor, and heritage.

Okay thanks, I just ordered a few (those that didn't have PDF versions) and downloaded a few that did have PDF versions, will peruse (although if I like one I may have to order it too, since reading things on the computer screen is not something I love doing).

Catalog season has begun! 88217 What am I going to do with you? I HAVE last year's catalogs. This year's catalogs are going to 99% say the exact same things, probably on the exact same pages, but it's the principal of the thing! Silly!
