Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Here in Harrisville, NH, the sun is shining brightly (for now), humidity has dropped overnight by a tremendous amount, & it's in the 60's with a nice breeze.
Not gonna argue a BIT!

We had a Tornado Warning this evening but nothing materialized.

Even wetter than before. The creek jumped its banks -- it does that about once a year. This is the third time this year, and the worst I've seen it. You can see it trying to sneak up to the back of my garden.
The house I rent isn't at risk of flooding (nor am I in danger), but this much water negatively affects others in my region -- and is no good for my garden.

This is the radar for our general area this evening. We are where the black circle is between the two rain showers. Still muggy and pretty warm. The previous rain did not cool it down. Makes perfect tornado weather.

I think we should start looking for a new planet. This one isn't friendly anymore on either coast.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
AtlantaMarie and Sanderson, we made it through with only a trash bin blown over. It was cooler for a couple of days but now the heat is back. Tomorrow's forecast is for 94 with a heat index of 99. We did have several nice showers over the past several days. Almost looks like spring again.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Oh, good. Glad to hear it.
Now we just need to worry about Rosina in HI.
Here's been gorgeous the last couple of days - humidity dropped, temps in the mid to upper '80's, nice breeze.

We're under excessive heat warning here today and tomorrow. Heat index as high as 104. I only go out in the evenings to water then back into the house..
It's supposed to cool down into the mid 80's on Wednesday.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Another hot & humid day here today. Had a heat of index of 102 yesterday, and it supposed to be the same today and tomorrow. But, Wednesday is supposed to bring rain and temps back down into the 70's. The season is beginning to change, and the garden plants are beginning to show signs of fall.

Hot (86 right now, but there's a heat wave starting tomorrow at 9am), humid, sunny.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
There have been some small tornadoes in Ontario this week. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm which brought our neighbourhood some rain but other neighbourhoods really got hit with high winds and flooding. Two barns were flattened about forty miles from us.

Glad you are safe Trolleydriver. We saw all of the Emergency Alerts on TV about every 5 minutes at one point. There were certainly a LOT of them, not just for the Valley but also Kingston and Peterborough areas.

I haven't been focused on the Forum and news like normal, so I missed the news of tornadoes. I'm glad you are fine.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Tornadoes in Canada??? Gee, I thought it was insane when MA started getting them a few years ago.
This is out of control...
Weather here is stellar today! Mid 70's, mostly sunny, lightly breezy. Our reward for making thru the recent heat wave.

Still hot and humid here in Ottawa Canada. Today 88F (31C) but feels like 104F (41C) with the humidity. Cooling off later in the week with a high of only 66F (19C) on Saturday.

DG, We appreciate your kind gesture. Kelejan dehydrates the water she mails to use to save on postage.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Yup.. Same here. We had rain yesterday and last night with 100% chance of heavy rain today and showers tonight. It's all been a blessing though. I could hardly keep up with watering everything.DorothyG wrote:Rain, rain, and more rain. Flood watch through Saturday night. Temp down to 53 Saturday night. Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Same here in SW Ohio. Started raining yesterday afternoon around 3 O'clock, and hasn't stopped yet. Local weather says we have received 5.5", and will likely received 8" before the rain ends. But, they say the rain won't end until tomorrow afternoon. I had planned to make another batch of compost tea this weekend, to apply Monday morning, but I will have to postpone that until the water table returns down to ground level.
