Sanderson - On the Road
Hi folks, I am in Missouri for a long weekend reunion for my husband's family. I will be checking in morning and evening.

Mrs TD and I spent some wonderful days in Branson, Missouri a few years ago. Great shows and lovely scenery. And on the way we got off the main highway to check a bit of old Route 66.

Branson was the last family reunion, when we stopped by to see Baker Creek seeds.
Re: Sanderson - On the Road
Home last night. I grabbed the flashlight and looked at each bed. Everything survived and even grew!

Re: On the Road
I too just returned from Branson. When the hail storm hit Saturday, I was a bit concerned about my garden at home (we live only 2 hours west/southwest of Branson and storms had come through here also). I'm glad you had a good time and returned to find the garden in good shape.

LOL, yeah it can be a bit of a shock seeing how much stuff grows in a week. Welcome homesanderson wrote:Home last night. I grabbed the flashlight and looked at each bed. Everything survived and even grew!
We were on the road too. Went to Washington to marry off our youngest son. I worried the whole time about water in the greenhouse and that the nights were too cold for the greenhouse to be open but too warm in the day for it to be closed. Everything looks fine and has grown. Even the eggplant did not die, did not grow much either, but it was cold at night for them.

I'd LOVE to visit Baker Creek! Was it as nice as the pictures make it out to be?

Re: Sanderson - On the Road
That's a yes and a no. They have a cute pioneer center with stores, stable, etc. And, of course, the seed store. The seed store is wonderful to wonder through. However, you can't go down hill to visit the fields. It's off the beaten path so you have to want to go there. A lovely green drive.
Re:on the road
Hmmm.... interesting.
I'd have thought that they'd
have "how to" tours/classes of the
fields.
I ordered the 2019 catalog so
that will satisfy my curiosity.
