Hi, from Memphis
First year SFG here in the midsouth. We have 34 sq ft of vegetables planted and have seen the first sprouts today! Very excited, and looking forward to having fresh veggies. My wife and I are originally from north Georgia but have lived around the south for the last 5 years from Raleigh Nc to here. We have 3 kids 8,5, and 3 and they are more excited than we are. Looking forward to learning as much as we can here and have already learned a lot from looking around in here. Thanks all

Welcome From Up the Road
Welcome aboard from a suburb of Nashville. SFG works well in our state, especially if you make sure your garden stays watered in July and August, when we get all those days between 95 and 105.

from Kelejan from Canada

Are you in Tennessee as I know Nashville is there?

BenNation, Welcome to the Forum from California!
Can you modify your "Location" under your Profile so folks know what State and location you are in. It really helps folks to know what the location and climate is like if you have any questions for them. Gardening with kids is a great activity for them. Educational, but also something they will never forget. Some folks make 3' x 3' boxes for them so they have their own to plant and tend.

Hi BenNation and welcome to the forum. A lot of good information here and a lot of good people to help with any questions. Glad to hear you have the kids involved.
They will benefit greatly.
