Re: Anyone see any problems?
One thing I've done with my green onions, to free up squares for other things, is I plant them at the edges of my box where I grow my peppers. I just run a line of them a couple of inches from the edge of the box. They've done well that way and there seems to be plenty of space with the peppers to do that.
I love broccoli, too. And so do all my children and hubby. I'm only putting in 8 squares of it and I really need a lot more.

OOPS
Forgot to update the last pic with the new spacing for the zucchini/yellow squash, and the rearrangement of the cucumbers and tomatoes...

Kate,
Thank you for the advice -- if I notice that I am growing Green Onion in excess, I might take on your idea!

I would switch the tomatoes and the cucumbers so you don't end up with the broccoli / tomato problem that lamamama had pictures of. That would be an easy fix. And don't plant your broccoli all at once because it will be ready all at once. Maybe a few plants every week depending on how much you think you would consume in a week.

Re: Anyone see any problems?
I've been planting cukes near tomatoes for over 20 years and the only problem I ever ran into was crowding which was my own fault for 1. planting too close and 2. being lazy and letting everything go crazy because I didn't feel like going out and working in the garden in our lovely 100 degree heat.
