Help me please. PH problems
I have done well with old square foot gardening, but I started the new method since a move and have been disappointed by the results. I just did some cheap testing and it shows a high ph and some low nutrients. Any thoughts? I use store bought compost, but I get quality, 4-5 different types and mix them.

How high?
Exactly how high is the PH? I'm trying to figure out what might be going wrong as all the ingredients in mel's mix should create a neutral to slightly acidic PH situation.
Maybe if you elaborate on what brands of composted materials, peat, and vermiculite you are using we could help narrow down the issue faster.

Re: Help me please. PH problems
How far did you move? I'm just venturing a some guesses here, but I wonder if a new location would affect you. Perhaps you moved to a place with more alkaline soil, and that's getting into your boxes. Or I wonder if the compost you have has a different pH due to the location, or what it's made from.
