I was watching her de-fur some sort of animal that may have been a red squirrel. It was brutal but still fascinating.

Oh my gosh, I've just found this link and I'm amazed! I lucked up and found it during feeding time...unbelievable how large the nest is...that tree must be strong to hold such a thing. Shocked

Good to know, my 11yo, rabbit owning daughter would freak if she saw that. She just got her 4H book to show her rabbit and there's a section on rabbits for meat that show how to butcher the rabbits. I paper clipped the section together so she didn't have to see it.

I'm not sure... I read some one saying they will probably fledge in June. But I think they may remain dependent on their parent fow a little while after that.
