My tomato plants are gorgeous-but plants are all I've got. They are really taking off but there are very few blooms and even fewer fruits. Could it be that the MM is too rich? My tomatoes in the row garden (that didn't get washed away in the creek flooding) are covered in tomatoes. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have not seen this in my SFG but I have seen it in garden soil heavy with nitrogen. affraid Are all your tomatoes the same variety? If the plants have blooms, soon you will have fruit.

I have 4 different kinds of tomatoes in my SFG's. Black Crim, Rutgers, Mortgage Lifters, and Green Zebras. I think between them all I may have a dozen blooms and I am in zone 7 east tn, so I have a long growing season. Maybe there is hope yet for them?

If the temperature has been really hot, above 90F, the tomatoes will slow and will not likely set fruit.

Most of those you mentioned are NOT early tomatoes. Mortgage Lifter, Rutgers and Green Zebras are listed as 78-80 Days so it may be the other is also a later variety.
Be a little more patient.

But also as mentioned, high temps over 90 are going to prevent blossoming or the blossoms will drop without setting.

I think its a 'wait and see' situation.
