I started suspending my zucchini's last year. I didn't know that this was already a trend. Although this guy is being more professional about it.

Probably, though you may need rebar, zip ties, and fruit slings for pumpkins and argonaut.

Unfortunately, this technique only works if you live in an area that does not have the Squash Vine Borer. The SVB will destroy the plant in no time, whereas if the plant is spreading on the soil it is possible to slice out the larva and cover the opening with soil to save the plant.

California doesn't have much problem with SVB - today.
I've tried staking summer squash, but I haven't been too successful. To prickly for me.
