Re: Holy snow Batman!
I sent in my passport application last Friday to Gatineau in Quebec. I had a tracking number and found it had got to its destination on Monday. The next day they said there would be no mail delivery. Or collection?
So I am hoping that the people in the passport office are working hard on my passport
application so that I can get to England this side of Fall.
This morning my brother emailed me that the sun was shining and the temperature was 16C. Brothers
you gotta love them.

Re: Holy snow Batman!
That was fast delivery to Gatineau. It sometimes takes over a week for us to get a letter from here to Cambridge, Ontario. You must have paid extra for the special delivery with tracking number. Someone just got in touch with me from South Carolina and said their Spring flowers are in bloom. Makes me want to cry.Kelejan wrote:I sent in my passport application last Friday to Gatineau in Quebec. I had a tracking number and found it had got to its destination on Monday. Re: Holy snow Batman!
Yes TD, I paid extra, it was worth it to get it out of my sight as I had so much trouble with it.
About the flowers, don't cry, TD, your turn will come as you have proved it with your lovely photos last year.![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)

Hi, Suz!
As I expected, you finally got some snow.
Meanwhile, here in Bend, we keep getting flurries to a couple of inches. So far, we're in a snow drought.

Through rain, sleet or snow . . . they just didn't say how long it would take.
CN, Your snow is so pretty.
TD, That's one huge pile of snow.
KJ, Thank goodness your passport application arrived before service stopped.

Re: Holy snow Batman!
I only hope that they are not sitting on the passport applications as I know mine must be at the bottom of the pile. It could be the end of March before I get it. Then I will start worrying as I will not be happy until it is in my hands. ![Rolling Eyes](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Re: Holy snow Batman!
Two lovely black and white pictures except for the brown on the building in the upper picture.
We in British Columbia have had many Winter Wonderland pictures this year when the snow nearly clears then down comes another load.
But I would rather have this than what my brother is going through in England: rain, floods, more rain and more floods. Three different named systems streaming through the country and no relief as they are coming one after another. Luckily he says is on high ground although you would not know it unless you knew how high compared to other places.
Do you get floods when it all meltss, TD?

Re: Holy snow Batman!
There was really bad flooding along the Ottawa River last Spring. We are far enough away from the river to avodi the flooding (so far).Kelejan wrote:...

Re: Holy snow Batman!
Long time members know I love snow photos.
I only get 1/2" of snow every decade or so.
So please make Sanderson happy and post your snow photos.

If I never see snow again, I'll be perfectly happy! (Probably because I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for 4 winters.)

Thanks for asking. I'm doing well. I just had a follow-up for the prostate cancer. So far so good. In the first week of January I will have chest x-ray and abdominal/pelvic CT scan follow-up for the kidney cancer.donnainzone5 wrote:TD, it's great to hear from you! For those of you that live where winter snow is not a day trip to the snow. I feel for you.
