Okay, S, you have now forced me into a confession. All of my vine crops were carefully labeled, but then they all went their own way and got hopelessly tangled. I can't even get to the base of most plants, but I will post the variety as soon as I can find the little plant stake and I will do better next year. Rolling Eyes Embarassed

Canada Crookneck Squash ... the largest weighs in at two pounds. The pen is for size comparison (I learned that from sanderson Very Happy ).

We are two birds of a feather. This is exactly what happened with my garden this year. I've saved seeds from my favorite tomato, but I only have an idea of what it may be. There are tomatoes I can't even get to. I know that's hard to imagine in a bitty 4x4 foot garden, but the tomato vines are so tangled and thick, that some things are hidden, and others that are visible, (thank goodness tomatoes are red!), are just unreachable. Like you, I have the plants labeled, but with the twisted, rambling vines, well.....

The good news is, the tomatoes are still producing! They've slowed down, but here's what I picked today. Those sweet little cherries just make my day. Very Happy

We are loving our everbearing strawberries (in the SFG) and everbearing raspberries (in regular soil).  Both have been giving us a nice continuing harvest.  Today's haul.

Sorry ... I don't know.  CC has been asking as well.

We've had the raspberry "bushes" for many years and they have been moved several times to different locations in the yard. Of course they are always trying to spread into new territory by themselves. I noticed today that some are growing inside the cedar hedge behind the main planting area. Some of the raspberry canes are popping out high up on the hedge in various locations.

Watermelon and cantaloupe. Both delicious. The cantaloupe was the size of a softball and the watermelon was about half of that, but next year should be better, with more mulch and compost. geek

Today's harvest of rainbow carrots (Top Hat), sweet million tomatoes (OSFG and ANSFG), cucumbers (OSFG) and ground cherries (soil). I found the cucumbers while trimming the cedar hedge where one of the cucumber vines was climbing the hedge.  Very Happy

Went out to the SFG this morning to get some kale and chard for a green smoothie. Came back to the house with those items plus a couple of cukes, some purple bush beans and some golden wax bush beans. The cucumber plants are definitely on their last legs. I may squeeze one or two more cuckes out of them. There are more small bean pods on their plants. The kale and chard are doing really well.

My first real harvest! Yes I've picked stuff before, but never was I able to pick all we needed of several different things at once. Today I got a pattypan squash, a whole mess of asparagus beans, lots of kale, and basil, oregano, & bay for seasoning Hubby's meatloaf.  I love you

Basil harvest.  Oh my goodness, did it smell heavenly!  It was time to remove the plants to make room for winter plants.  I think I will try some frozen in olive oil cubes and the rest will be dehydrated. Today's Harvest - Page 4 Basil_10

I read that we can take cuttings and keep fresh basil in water all winter. I'm gonna try it.

It certainly gives us a new appreciation for the concept of "harvest festival." Very Happy Our nights are starting to get cold, so the cukes and beans are slowing down, but the winter veggies are coming on strong, so there may be more days like that in my future. Today's Harvest - Page 4 3170584802
