TD, the one in the background in the second photo looks close. If you want to store them for use later in the winter, wait until the color is gold and the skin hard enough to be hard to pierce with your finger nail. If freeze is looming around the corner, then you don't have a choice but to pick them all. I don't know how the greenish ones will taste. If they aren't sweet, maybe bake and mash up with sweet potatoes. Maybe the green ones taste like bland summer squash?

I have a 24 month old spaghetti squash that fascinates me, though it is time to toss it in the green waste. Maybe I will take a photo. Razz

I had quite a surprise when I checked the SFG today. Look at that giant zucchini that was hiding out in the jungle!!! affraid I'm not sure I've ever seen one that big. And there's a tiny one next to it, so it seems that my zucchini plants have finally decided to produce, now that we're heading toward October. Go figure. And there's another pepper. And lots more tomatoes. I'm going to treat myself, put all of those cherry tomatoes in a bowl and just eat them as if they were candy. cheers

Shocked  Huge zuke!
I'd love to grow a big one like that but I like to use my hand spiralizer on them so need to keep them like your small one.

What variety of pepper is that pretty thing?

Cucamelons look like miniature water melons and taste like cucumbers. Mine grew really well in Mel's Mix in an SFG bed with a four foot trellis.

Could not wait any longer. I have harvested my first ever Canada Crookneck Squash. This was the first one to start developing. It only weighs about 1.5 lbs. I think they are usually in the 2 to 4 lb range. The actual color is more gold than the photo shows. Now to taste it!

A small basket of things recently harvested from the SFG. Of course the garlic was harvested back in July but Mrs TD put it in the basket. Note the words on the handle ... "Grown in Canada".  Very Happy

In addition to harvesting greens for my morning smoothie, plus tomatoes and cucamelons for a snack in the garden, etc., I also found this solitary eggplant. It will be the only one this year. How sad is that?

2 cukes.  2nd harvest.  Looks like the next one there will be more because there are 6 or 7 about three inches right now.

I've always loved honeydews, especially because the cantaloupes in the store are usually mealy and dry, but the honeydews always seem sweet and juicy. I can only imagine how scrumptious one picked from your own garden must be! drooling
