Re: My 'trip' through hydroponic stores
what about Ikea for the grow lights?
IKEA should be offering their indoor hydroponic grow system in the USA this spring. I would assume that means now, but I see no signs of it anywhere.

Re: My 'trip' through hydroponic stores
Wow, thanks for sharing that - that's a nice small size and it seems to include lights! I'll have to look for it at Ikea next time I'm in NJ (which will either be well into, or after, March 20th.) My only concern is that it looks like a passive arrangement - no water movement, no aeration of water... though it can be hard to tell as catalog photos often show the item with no cord whether it has one or not.

Those lights look really far away from the plants...maybe they are stronger than my lights, I have T8s. Pretty bright ones.

Re: My 'trip' through hydroponic stores
The webpage said they were LED - I didn't catch if it had more details than that.
I have T8s also... and you've reminded me I need to stick something under my latest seedlings (I got lowering thingies, but they took up too much space at their lowest position... so the lights are fixed and I move the plants.)
