I could look it up too, but I'd rather make some guesses. The first guess is an electric chair? Second guess is shock therapy treatment chair?my last guess which I can't figure out how it would be possible, is a dentist chair?are any of those correct? When do we get to find out the right answer?

You are making me show my age! I used to fling those 45 rpm adapters at the back of my siblings' heads! I remember we had a portable record player that had an adapter built in - you just had to pull it up and twist to lock, then you didn't have to worry about finding the missing adapters to play your 45's!68carguy wrote:Yes you are correct they are fuses and the numbers are for the amp rating. we had one of those big tube ones that slid down over the center spindle of the player. They are staple items at the local hardware stores. Our town didn't get electricity until sometime in the '50's, and many of the houses have never had the wiring redone. Our house is relatively new on the scene, built in the 40's, so plumbing and electricity were added within only a few decades after it was built.

A toy gun that shot round plastic disks about the size of the record inserts.
