Everyone, this is fun! But don't type anything in the "Post Title" so that it will be easier for someone just logging in to guess. I'm going to start a new Topic "Answers to Senseless banter. Then you can reply with you guess in the text box.

Okay, I've gotten a bit behind!
The curler machine - thank God I'm not that vain! That would be scary to use.
#1 - Bottle opener? Or a multi-wrench.
#2 - screen shot of tv station shutting down for the night?

that video was heartwarming
and no, I don't have a bucket list. I live in Hawaii for Heaven's sake. My friends talk about going to New Zealand and other places but I just love being where I am. They did talk me into going to Spain, and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. And if they are successful at talking me into travelling some more when I'm 80 I'll be happy to go of course. I know I'm well cared for.
Fun to see Sagrada Famila and other Barcelona sights on that video.

So thankful that DH has cracked the female code since he does the grocery shopping. He would come back with 8 avocados, 'cuz the avocados come in bags of 4. Then he would go back for the carton of milk he forgot.
Hubby does the major shopping, I get the 'fill-ins' locally between his monthly big trips to the 'big city'. I call him at the end of the work day for the list of what I need to get on the way home because I can never remember to take the list with me!
We have cracked each other's codes and have made the compensations. Yes, he has to tell me where I left my glasses, my keys, my shoes, my brain...and I keep him fed!

For 30 years or so , every time I get close to cracking Alison's code & she realizes it she B****y well changes it .

That's what makes relationships interesting.
Re: Senseless Banter...
Well, excuse me, I have a correction to make.
Mike says that his "Secret Squirrel decoder ring" helps him with the changing codes. What befuddles & confuses & makes him scratch his head is "how you can come up with some of the c*** you do!"

Space lettuce!

I wonder if those veggie "pillows" would work here on earth...
Has anyone ever grown that type of romaine that they mention - "Outredgous"?

Re: Senseless Banter...
Time for an encore!
To commemorate her 69th birthday, actress/vocalist Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. One of the musical numbers she performed was "My Favorite Things" from the legendary movie "Sound Of Music." However, the lyrics of the song were deliberately changed for the entertainment of her "blue hair" audience. Here are the lyrics she recited:
Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores.

Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things..
Cadillacs and cataracts and hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things..
When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad..
Hot tea and crumpets, and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heat pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things..
Back pains, confused brains, and no fear of sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things..
When the joints ache,
when the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad..
Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores.
Wonderful Boffer
thanks for the memories and thanks for how many of those things I don't yet need at 78.

But not of the lettuce that they will eat while on the ISS. Guess another reason I find this interesting is the company I work for launches supplies to the International Space Station. They are 1 of only 2 approved for such missions in the United States at this point in time.

Being a haole who has never visited the 50th state, I was not familiar with the term "Ohana." Wikipedia says it means 'family' in the sense of all those whom you are related to, have adopted or feel a close bond with, or something like that.
My guess is that the SFG forum members might be considered an Ohana. No?

Kinda sorta like an Ohana
We get so used to using the Hawaiian vernacular that I forget that not everyone understands it.
It would be a bit loose term for us but we do indeed act like an ohana on this forum. Supporting each other, helping each other.
My grandson, Collin, who is not related to me I refer to as my hanai (adopted) grandson. Just means a familial type of relationship. Very common in Hawaii.
That's great that you found Ohana in Wiki.
