Thanks Turan! It was deeeeeelicious. I de-brained all the tomatoes so everything was nice and firm and crazy good.
I think I'm going to try Gazpacho next!

Southern Gardener - I had no idea about Spaghetti Squash until I got the Vertical Gardening book and it suggested them for their vining. Man was I pleasantly surprised! We are eating one at least once a week and what a killer pasta substitute!
I planted 3 others (one at my MIL house, two at a friend's house) and we are all enjoying the results. YUM!
What's your favorite way to prepare them>?

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Favorite way(s). Cut them in half, take out seeds and steam them. I usually put them "face down" in a colandar, then in a pot of water about 2" deep and steam for about 20 min or until fork tender. I LOVE them topped with a bit of parmesan cheese, OR a little butter and pepper, OR spaghetti sauce, OR garlic salt and pepper. I use them just as I would spaghetti. SO low in calories compared to spaghetti, and very filling!!

Salad consisting of 3 different types of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, carrots and sunflower sprouts. We are making enough for all 4 of us to have as a meal (we have a salad every day for lunch with the kids)

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Congrats! I love that first tomato and homegrown green beans. I tried endive for the first time. And I may have found my first item grown in years that I don't care for. Endive! The family doesn't like it. I tried two difference recipes for braised endive and we don't like it raw. It is actually funny since we will eat beet, chard, radish, kale, turnip and a few other greens just fine but not endive. I am glad the chickens like it!

We are eating grape toms, cherry toms, roma toms and green peppers. We also have some broccoli miraculously enough. This next week is going to continue in the 100's so I may not get much of anything else this year.

Todays harvest. I forgot to pick a green onion. I will put up most of the peas and basil. I am thinking an omelet with pesto and summer squash inside it. I'll cook that okra pod on the side of the omelet pan and savor it with a touch of salt and nothing else.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
I picked (and tasted) my first Black Krim today. I was getting worried because it seemed to be getting a bit soft, but didn't look as dark as I expected it to. I think I could have left it on the vine for another day or two, but it was darn tasty anyway.
Based on some pictures of sliced Black Krims I've seen online, I think I picked it a bit too early. What do you think? Too much green inside?

@moswell
Have never grom black krim so do not know if they are done or not. Have you grown them before?
I have been getting a lot of grape tomatoes, some WV 63 and one Brandywine today but have not tried them yet.
As far as herbs I have a TON of basil..stuff grows like a weed. Just keep cutting it back and it grows more back bushier.
Oeregano too. Now had some hot peppers and they were HOT but good and some green beans tonight.
