Little above 0*F here with a foot or so of heavy snow. My gardening is indoors. I planted a crocus pot to force. The chard and alpine strawberrys and cilantro are up in their soil blocks on the window sill.

Awesome Turan, you just made want to plant something, hmmmm. We only have a couple inches of snow but it's freeezing out there, the truck started hard, but the sun is shining! I heard a rumor it is supposed to warm back up shortly.

We have about a foot of snow on the ground. Our temp. is 34 degrees. No wind. It will be 20 degrees tonight. By Friday it should be 54 degrees.

Freezing!!
Saturday night we got down to -8 degrees! Heat turned up and I stayed indoors! Windy too so the wind chill is rough even today. Growing my herbs inside. Got enough oregano to tie up and dry some, and basil to put up. The rosemary seems to like its winter home too.

Not sure if it is supposed to hold 'true' everywhere or if it is just something they say in this area. Every year I tell myself I am going to track it, and every year I forget!

Brave you! The only thing I do on Black Friday is nibble on leftovers and take a leisurely walk in the hills.

I am half way or so between you guys~ 32* & sunny. The forecast is storm coming in later with snow the next couple days and then warming to rain. The shearer is penciled in for Friday, so I would rather it stay dry/cold. First set of lambs on the ground with the rest should start in the next week or so. I must of forgot to write it down when I put the ram in

Our upcoming week looks like 30's and not much moisture... We haven't had much snow at all this winter.

We got hammered with a pretty nasty storm Friday afternoon into Saturday. I have almost 10" of snow at my place in between Loveland and Berthoud, CO. We had lots of high winds and blowing snow and just plain ole nasty weather all day yesterday. I had drifts about 4' deep along most of my drive coming into the place.
Today I hope to finish up my indoor seed planting. Ground cherries, more tomatoes and more peppers and getting my Carrot Week 2013 box in order.
Hard to believe with weather like this that spring is here!

I think we got the same storm Rooster, Lots of snow here, I'll take the moisture! They are already talking fire bans in the hills.Not supposed to warm up till Wednesday (40s-50s).

It has been cold, stuck in the 20s last 3 days. We saw a storm in the south but only got a flurry.
I am getting impatient. But I really need to wait to start seeding for another week. I do not know if I can hold on that long. Maybe some broccoli......
The cumin is sprouting now. It looks like carrot sprouts.
