Hello from Southeastern Vermont!
I've just found this site today as I was getting ready to order some garlic for fall planting. Bookmarked it, read some, pondered a little, ordered the book, read some more.....
Since the fella who owned the place before us sold off all the topsoil, I have to bring my own in. Thus I now use raised beds and containers for gardening in.
Been building raised beds for flowers over the past years or digging holes and filling in with bagged soil, then I built one last year for garlic and just pulled the garlic today. About to figure out how to freeze garlic scapes next.
Am trying some summer squash, peppers, kentucky wonder beans and potatoes in containers this year along with basil (just picked some today to either make pesto or freeze) and tomato plants.
Looking forward to reading more of the posts on here and learning, learning, learning.
