Hello from Southeastern PA
(Please bear with my typing. I'm right handed & I broke my right wrist. So, won't be great for a few weeks.) I used SFG in past. I am going to need to read new, updated version. Won't have a very big garden this year either due to wrist but I want to make the most of what space i will use. Looking forward to chatting!

Hi and Welcome, Lablover. I was born in Texas, live in Texas, but I have Pennsylvania roots. My father was born and reared in Pottstown, PA, Chester County. My oldest brother was born in Pottstown, Pa, Montgomery County. I still have a few cousins living there. We lived in Gilbertsville, when I was a child before moving back to Texas. My Dad met my Mom in San Antonio where she was visiting an aunt and where he was stationed during WWII.

Lablover... welcome!
Hi Lablover, Welcome to this amazing forum. I have learned a ton of things here. Everyone is very helpful (reassuring for a novice gardener like me).
My mother is from Minersville (next to Potsville). So, I have some Pennsylvania roots. My mom used to go picking mushrooms with my grandmother (who knew very well which were not poisonous).
Enjoy your garden (and I hope your wrist heals soon).

Hey, I have an idea where you're referring to. I am from the mushroom capital of PA. We have mushroom farms everywhere here. Looking forward to chatting!

Hi Lablover!
Where in SE PA are you? If you're close to Aberdeen, MD and need it, I've got a contact for compost (not "certified" but it IS organic) and even finished "Mel's Mix".
I also have some people in the York area who want me to come up there to teach a class.
Hope you enjoy exploring the Forum!

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
