Hello From Vermont
Hey all,
I live in central Vermont and am waiting patiently for the snow and mess to go away so I can start playing in my garden. I toyed with Square Foot Gardening last year and created one 4X4 box this year I want to add a few more since I have a helper coming to garden with me this summer.
I do have a few questions does anyone do potatoes in a SFG raised bed and if so what does that look like?
Thanks,
Chickenlittle

Re: Hello From Vermont
Hi Chickenlittle, Welcome to the Forum from California! I grow potatoes in 5-gallon buckets so I will have to let others address planting them in the SFG beds.

from me, too. I'm farther north than Sanderson, but still in CA. I also grow my potatoes outside of SFG, and have not been successful, yet.sanderson wrote:Hi Chickenlittle, Welcome to the Forum from California! Hi Chickenlittle. Welcome from Atlanta, GA!
Yes, I've done potatoes in my SFG. It needs to be quite deep, lol. 6" won't do it. Ours ended up being about 2 feet deep.
