Purple Beet leaves
My beets looked green and healthy while they were in the greenhouse. After transplanting them to the garden, the leaves just stopped looking very healthy and they turned purple. They seem to be in the part of the garden that seems to retain the most moisture. Could this be from over-watering? Everything else looks pretty healthy--lettuce, onions, peas, radishes...

Welcome first poster. Is your Mel's Mix all from same batch?

Re: Purple Beet leaves
Beets like all root veggies don't really like to be transplanted.
How long ago did you transplant. Could it just be tranplant shock?
Also, beet greens are naturally tinged with a redish color. So the purple may be normal.
