I found a tree jammed between the lirope and the garage wall.

I moved it last fall and it survived, but I have no idea what kind of tree it is.

I also found these scattered in one end of a flowerbed where I enlarged a big circle with 2 wings. These are in one of the enlarged wings but not the other.

Looks like Atamasco Lily at the bottom (folks call them Easter lily or rain lilly's down here).

They usually come out after first rains in April & there is a white & a pink/violet version (maybe more I'm just not aware of).

No clue on the tree though

The tree looks like an apple or cherry - maybe something wild? The serated edges, simple leaves, and alternating leaf arrangement makes me think that.

The bulbs look like hyacinths that have been there a while. The bright green leaves with scooped ends and the shape of the flower makes me think that.
After planting them, the blooms cover the stem the first year, then tend to come back with less and less flowers in successive years.

Hmmm 14 years ago I had a flower bed in that spot. Wonder if the bulbs were just buried under the grass and got stirred up when I had the spot rototilled last fall. They remind me of snow drops but it's the wrong time of year.

As to the tree, the leaves and bark remind me of a peach tree, but those are definately not peach blossoms. A wild cherry would be awesome.

#1 not sure, really can't see it
#2/3 Choke cherry tree? leaves and flowers look similar
#4 hyacinth looks like a good guess, just not very many flowers this year

The flower looks similar to Star of Bethlehem we have in our yard...everywhere! They have pretty star-shaped white blossoms, but can be very aggressive and is considered an invasive plant. They were around where I have my rhubarb planted and we cannot get rid of them.

Well, my signature says it all. So, since I didn't plant them and I've got plans for that bed, out they are coming. Only waited to see if it was something interesting. But I may put them in a container for next spring because they were pretty.

The tree stays. i NEED trees in my yard.

I also thought about Star of Bethlehem but the leaves aren't quite right and the way the flowers come off the stalk looks different than most of the SoB that I've seen. If it is SoB, then it moves from the "unknown weed" category into the "this plant will take over your garden" category.
But I still think it's a hyacinth - even if I'm fooling myself bacause I don't want you to have to deal with SoB. Wink

Looks to me like a choke cherry. It has flowers - is this the first you have seen them? It looks very healthy! You'll have to let us see the fruit as it develops. Smile

I was in China last year this time and didn't see either the bloom or the results. If it even bloomed in that tight space in Pic 1. There were no berries or such when I got back in late June.

Well crap. Crap, crap, and more crap.

I thought the annoying plant I have in my backyard was chives. But no! It's the lovely Star of Bethlehem. It looks exactly like pattipan's picture. And they are in full bloom now! There are so many that hand-pulling seems overwhelming. Any other cures? What about boiling water? Oh my smart, experienced friends - please help! I want it gone!

To me the tree looks more like a Crepe Myrtle, I have those in my back yard, I hate them, they multiply faster than rabbits and guppies combined.

Definately not a crape myrtle. I've got five of them. No those blossoms are tiny blooms on a pentacle or catkin. I just barely caught the tail end of the blooms, they are all tiny green balls now.

Kay, if you Google "Choke Cherry Tree" and look at the images, you'll find your flowers and leaves. Those little green balls will become the fruit. Smile

I haven't figured out a way to eliminate it totally. Pulling it up, making sure I get the bulbs is the best way I've found so far. It multiplies fast and if you let it go to seed, expect it to increase exponentially next spring. Here's a fact sheet I found on it, apparently it's slightly toxic as well. Please don't confuse Star of Bethlehem with your chives! Chives have a reddish purple blossom and a definite onion-y smell.
