Re: Anyone have a good crock pickle recipe?
The Ball Blue Book has several recipes for crock (fermenting) pickles. I was looking for new crocks online seriously http://www.wisementrading.com/foodpreserving/harsch_crocks.htm
but I like the Picklemeister.
but I like the Picklemeister.

The Ball Blue Book recipe for crock pickles is the closest I've found to buying a whole pickle out of the jar on the store counter wrapped in wax paper. Guaranteed to make you pucker!
It's on page 45 they call it 'brined dill pickles'-I just happened to have a crock to do the brining in.

LUCKY WITH THE CROCK! I lost my nice kraut crock during a move about 10 years ago.boffer wrote:The Ball Blue Book recipe for crock pickles is the closest I've found to buying a whole pickle out of the jar on the store counter wrapped in wax paper. Camprn can you use the Pickle meister with the crock recipes? I think it looks really cool and it seems like something I would really like (I LOVE pickles as well as beets). but I am curious if regular recipes would work with it.
