So Sunday afternoon we pulled some leaf lettuce and then fluffed up the square. Lo & behold I found a grub. Then another. No big deal; the kid loves to pick bugs. Then we dug some more - in that one square we found about a dozen of the ugly little critters! I didn't dig any other squares - it was close to 90* & the middle of the day - we wanted to go to the pool! grubs Icon_cool But... I'm willing to bet the whole box has them. Unless they only prefer lettuce? This was my first box and is not MM. I'll have to dig around in the MM boxes. I guess it's time to buy some nematodes. Where do I get them? Other than hand-picking, are nematodes the best bet?

Thanks bunches!!

I'd say you need to find out what type of grubs these are; solutions are often specific to the species. If you post a good picture of one of them, some expert on this forum might be able to identify them.

I ordered my nemotodes from Gardens Alive: www.gardensalive.com
However they are on back order so I am still waiting for them. They also have them at Gardener's Supply Co: Gardeners.com

Thanks!! I'm nearly positive they are Japanese Beetle larvae. I'm going to check Garden's Alive now! grubs Icon_smile
