Blossoms falling off squash and zucchini
The blossoms of both my squash and zucchini keep falling off. The squash even developed two little fruits only to fall off. Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Blossoms falling off squash and zucchini
are only the flowers falling off - or is the whole fruit/flower falling off? if there has not been good pollination, the flower AND fruit can fall off. to combat this, I help out by using a q-tip to pollinate the female flowers (these are the ones with the little squash or zuchinni attached) with a little pollen from a male flower (the ones on the long thin stems).
If just the flower is falling off, that could be fine - it will happen eventually as the pollinated squash or zuke grows.

also, all of the male flowers will simply fall off. these can never produce a fruit. it is normal for a plant to make quite a few male flowers before it makes any female flowers and that may be why most of your flowers have fallen off so far.
