Eating squash blossoms?
From what I understand you can eat squash blossoms, but I haven't found many details. Any suggestions for preparation? Do you cook them or use them raw as a garnish? I love the idea of making good use out of as much of my garden as I can!

I've heard of them being deep fried but I've never done it.

There are a few recipes here and here. Come to think of it, they may be the same recipes. I didn't look that closely at them when I Googled ![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif)

A friend of mine dips hers in a batter and deep fries them. Be sure there are no bugs in the blossom before you cook them. Nasty when you bite into a beetle or a bumblebee. ![Laughing](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)

Wow, thanks everyone. I realized too late that I probably should've posted this question in the recipe thread. Regardless, you all came through - can't wait to try some of these!

If you have an over abundance of male blossoms, or you have so many fruit on the plant that you know you won't eat them all, this is a great way to use them.
