Hello from Columbus Ohio
I have a landscape design degree and I'm a long time gardener, I have always pushed the parameters of traditional methods, but I am completely new to real SFG. I'm here to learn all I can, and will no doubt ask loads of questions in the process. Thank you for having a great community to join, and so much experience to share.

Re: Hello from Columbus Ohio
Welcome to the forums from a fellow Ohioan! I am just 50 or so miles to the west of you, right near Indiana. You'll find a wealth of information here, and a lot of very helpful members ready and willing to share their experiences. Let us know about your plans and progress, and don't hesitate to share photos of your gardens as they develop.
"In short, the soil food web feeds everything you eat and helps keep your favorite planet from getting too hot. Be nice to it." ~ Diane Miessler, "Grow Your Soil"

Welcome, orcascove! You won’t believe what a game changer this method is! I highly recommend the book by Mel that sanderson posted. Very helpful read. I got it from my library but ended up buying it. Glad you’re here!
Oh, and please post on our regional page here, we midwesterners share a lot of similar conditions, pests, etc. !
