Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
It just snowed here! Only lasted about 30 seconds. If we hadn't been outside at the time, we would have missed it. Now we're getting a little sleet and drizzle, but the whole thing is insignificant, just fun to report.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
I am like a kid when it snows for 30 minutes every ten years!!
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Wet...really wet. Just, umm, really really wet....and sort of foggy at the moment.

Rain and snow yesterday, but the sun is out today. Went out to assess the frost damage, and it hasn't done enough to bring tears to my eyes-yet. The damage will likely show up next week. Last frost left my garden looking like someone sprayed the yard with Roundup.

Bend, OR: -7F this morning. Received 3"-4" of snow during the last couple of days, about half of which has melted or sublimated. More is expected, however, with continued chilly, but (supposedly) not frigid temps. We could be getting up to around 10" between tonight and the end of next week. We'll have to see.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Hard freeze after almond tree was in full bloom, peas were already producing, and asparagus was a foot high. I'm afraid to go out and check.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Expected record temps here today - 80*F. Then next 10 days or so will be between 65 - 70*F.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
54 F and thunderstorms today. Two inches of rain expected today on top of all of the rain we've received this week. I'm looking forward to Friday when it's predicted to be 59 F and sunny. That's when I plan to combine ingredients for Mel's Mix and fill the garden beds.
In the meantime, peppers have sprouted indoors. I'll start tomato seeds in a couple of weeks. Plans for the Seed Swap at the public library are coming along nicely. I'm so ready for spring!

Line of storms should be here in about an hour. At least it will rinse the pollen out of the way.
Everything's blooming here... Hope we don't get another freeze. (Ha ha... We all know how THAT'S gonna go...)

Right! Why is that? Some of us are under water. Others...countrynaturals wrote:Send it to us, please.Scorpio Rising wrote:Rain, and more rain....
Today is the first day in over a week that the sun is actually shining. Cool, 42* windy.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Thank you. We got a little last night and more coming later in the week. Gonna stay cold at least through the first week in March, so my only gardening will be inside.countrynaturals wrote:Send it to us, please.Scorpio Rising wrote:Rain, and more rain....

Nice here. 50* earlier. Dry and...sunny! Walked out into the back yard; SOGGY, standing water out there still.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Cold, rain, and possibly a little snow for 7 of the next 10 days. Spring can't get here soon enough.
