Weather stickers in signatures
That's what Weather Underground calls them is stickers. You can go HERE to get one for your location. They have a variety to choose from. It might be fun to watch everyone's weather.
This is what mine looks like: (I'm putting an image here for context in case I change my sig down the road.)
IF you need help making a signature for yourself, go HERE for how-to instructions.
UPDATE: After you get your sticker code and go to your signature tab, make sure the text edit box is in code mode. If the button the arrow is pointing to looks like this, you are in code mode and the text box looks like this:
Your sig will look like it should.
If the button the arrow is pointing to looks pink, you are in the WYSIWYG mode and the text box looks like this:
Due to techie stuff, the code is not read properly in WYSIWYG mode.
You won't hurt anything by trying! If it doesn't work out right the first time, just delete everything in the sig edit box and start over.

Hey, it's fixed! Uh, I changed the code from BB to HTML, and it worked. Go figure.
But it was a fun reminder: I was born and raised in Ohio, where the state flag is the only one in the union that is pennant shaped!
Re: Weather stickers in signatures

Re: Weather stickers in signatures
Well, darn. I noticed that mine wasn't centered like everybody else's, so I went back into it to try to get it centered and now the url stuff is showing up.
What did I do wrong?

Re: Weather stickers in signatures
You stinker!
I just fixed yours cause the code was showing! Then you changed it!
I 'think' BB code is not working in the sigs and HTML is. That is how I fixed yours and madnicmom's. Just for grins, would you try using the HTML code, it uses the < and >, rather than the BB code that uses [ and ].
It's nothing you did wrong; it appears to be an anomaly at the moment. Thanks.

Re: Weather stickers in signatures
Alrighty then...it's the sig text edit box that is causing the problem.
If the button the arrow is pointing to looks pink, you are in the WYSIWYG mode and the text box looks like this:
For some reason the code is not read properly.
If the button the arrow is pointing to looks like this, you are in code mode and the text box looks like this:
Your sig will look like it should.
Select the second choice before you copy and paste. Then it will work.

Re: Weather stickers in signatures
Well, now it won't center, but I guess I can live with it off to one side! I don't see any url in it now, though, in my preview. I'm gonna send this to see how it looks.

Well, I'm not in San Fransico, though, so I'm going to have to go back and get my hometown again! Talk about a comedy of errors! I'll be back!

Re: Weather stickers in signatures
For the geeks in the crowd, the code is calling a CGI script on WU's server. BBcode intentionally won't acknowledge it. HTML will.
That's just the way it is!

Wrong zip code?

To center: highlight code, then select center button. Or, just type code in.
