Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
Got my first seed catalog (catalogue) a few days ago.
And now for the really exciting one. I've been tracking the delivery of my Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds catalog. It has cleared Canada customs.
USPS International says, "Your item was processed through a facility in CANADA on November 30, 2016 at 9:16 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination."
It will soon be in my hands.

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
LOL you stole my thunder. That was going to be my regional forum question. Oh well, I'll still post it.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
Just got off the phone with Baker Creek. For those of us who ordered the free catalog, they should be shipping in the next week or so...

Thanks for checking, I was curious when that was happening!AtlantaMarie wrote:Just got off the phone with Baker Creek. For those of us who ordered the free catalog, they should be shipping in the next week or so...

Carefully placed on the coffee table?
My seed order should be in the mail box (down the street). I'm curious if the catalog will also be in the box.

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
My Whole Seed catalogue from Baker Creek arrived last week. This week I've gotten ones from Seed Savers and High Mowing Seeds. I promised myself I wouldn't go overboard this year, but I've already placed orders totally over $200 (online) during the past month and that was before I received any catalogues. I just keep finding new (old!) heirlooms I want to give a go.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm told that admitting the addiction is half the battle, but all those lovely pictures and their descriptions... I'm just to weak to resist.

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
My Baker Creek seed order arrived today. Black Vernissage tomato was one of the freebies.
Gardengal, I know I spent at least $200 in seeds for 2013 and 2014. My name is Sanderson, and I am a seedalholic.

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
Question: If I ordered last year from a given seed company, will they send my one of their catalogs? Without soliciting a new one?
Just don't want to end un inundated with catalogs.....

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
Oh, I'm quite certain that they'll gift you with a new catalog this year!
Even if I don't order from each catalog, they keep sending them, year after year! I just tossed a collection that had arrived during the last few months. I think that if one orders from one catalog, that company shares the info with other companies, and then you're inundated. Forever.

Donna, that is kinda what I thought. At least that's the way with every other genre of catalogs!donnainzone5 wrote:Oh, I'm quite certain that they'll gift you with a new catalog this year!

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
It's here! I finally got my BC catalog! Boy, this thing is big this year....
Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
The big Whole Seed Catalog is here! I'll be interested to compare it with the freebie.
Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
I saw the big one at Sam's the other day. Didn't get it though.
Started going through the free one last night. DH asked me what I was doing. When I told him it was the BC catalog & I was marking & dreaming, he just laughed. It's nice to have a spouse who understands!

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)
Got my first seed catalog from Veseys Seeds in Canada a few weeks ago. Today I went to the Baker Creek website to order their free catalog but found out it will cost me $5 USA for shipping to Canada. So being "Mr. Cheap" I downloaded the PDF version to my computer. Last year I bought the BC Whole Seed Catalog.
