Re: Any Strange and Wonderful Visitors? Photos please!
Just had a young doe and her speckled fawn in the backyard, but all I got were a dozen closeups of our magnificent window screen!

So many geese flew through last night, the noise woke me up, but not a sign of one this morning, so no pics.

Update: Turns out it is a Grey Treefrog) (Hyla versicolor). They are singing out in the trees tonight after an afternoon of rain.

First Monarchs
Saw the first Monarch butterflies of the season today on the Fountain Butterfly Bush. Had a male and female together. None of the plants out in the Monarch Waystation are blooming yet, but the Milkweed plants are about 2' tall so there is a home for their eggs.
The pictures are very clear because we were have high winds at the time, but had to get some pictures anyway to mark the first of the year.

Baltimore Orioles, Red Wing Blackbirds, Northern Cardinals, Doves, Chickadees, Woodpeckers, Creepers, etc.
Yesterday I found three small rabbits near my SFG. They were all dead and two were decapitated. I think the killer is a free roaming cat.

Thought some of you might like this .. I was about to cut the front lawn with battery operated 17 inch cylinder mower .
At first I thought it was a cat's turd on the front lawn or from one of those annoying yapping ankle biters that some people
have on 30 yards of retractable clothes lines thinking the mutt is under control .
Not wanting to have it smeared on the cutter cage or the back steel roller of the mower I went & got the leaf shovel and a small plastic rake & started to bring it on the shovel ...........when it moved .. the darn thing is almost 4 inches long when straightened out and nearly 3/4 inch in diameter .
For those that care ...... I deposited it alive in the woodland at the back of our veg garden .

This is my newest gardening nemesis, the Iguana. They swim like a alligator and climb like a squirrel. They seem to eat about everything in the garden and that flowers in the landscape. This picture is of a neighbors invader, about 4 feet long, I don't have any pictures of live iguanas in my garden.

Yes, when I see them they mysteriously become dead iguanas.
