Canned 4 Qts of Bread & Butter Pickles
I am getting lots of cucumbers from my SFG now. These are heirloom A&C Pickling Cucumbers which are supposed to be about 10 inches long. 6 of the cucumbers made 4 quarts. They are about 1lb each. I used the Ball recipe for Bread & Butter Pickles and they are so yummy.

These are the descriptive words I voiced out loud as I read what you posted and looked at your pictures. Ohhhh, gall (when I saw the picture of your cucumbers and then realized they were a pound a piece). I picked up the word "gall" which is Utah slang for "wow". Yummmm (twice for the bowl of sliced pickles soaking in the bowl and for the finished jars of your bread and butter pickles). I think I should go do something else for awhile, I am getting wierd! But seriously, those are great looking pickles!

Must be bread and butter pickle day!
I just finished making 15 pints and I'm too tired to even take a picture. Tomorrow when they are cool maybe I'll take a photo. Yours look great, I used the same recipe and these are my all time favorite pickles. We ate them hot because we couldn't wait. Yum Yum.
Awesome looking Cukes by the way!!!!
Where did you get the seeds?

Tricia, thank you and I love that phrase "gall". I heard it when I was young, but can't remember where. Had not thought of that in years.
lyndeeloo, thank you for the nice words. It is tiring isn't it, but well worth it. I got the seeds from www.seedsavers.org and they are great to deal with.
camprn, I love them also. My daughter in law is pregnant and it is her all time favorite, so she gets half of them.
bnoles, thank you also.
JustMe, you will love them.

Another day, another 17 cucumbers! I just love how this SFG cucumber plant is producing. I canned another 4 quarts of bread and butter pickles, and plan to make another 4 or more today.

Re: Canned 4 Qts of Bread & Butter Pickles
Ah, thanks again. You guys are amazing.
Quick question, each time that I make a batch of B&B Pickels, I have quite a bit of the liquid left over. The liquid is comprised of 5 cups vinegar, 5 cups of sugar and the spice mix. Bring to a boil, then pour the liquid over the sliced cucumbers, and let them set for 30 minutes. Then fill the jars. My question is, would it be ok to use this liquid mix again, right away. Or will it break down with the cucumber juice and seeds, and not be safe to use again for canning?
