Post not found?
OK, I changed from IE to Firefox and other issues I had have been resolved, I think?
Now, a couple times, when I click in the email I've been sent by this forum, note comes up that there is nothing in this post, or post not found?
I made a reply to a post yesterday, and this note came up:
Information
The topic or post you requested does not exist
I've checked my settings in my browser and could find nothing, but that means nothing.
The replay I tried to make was not posted and I did not try to re-post.
Any help out there
Thanks, Jo

Re: Post not found?
Jo I am not having any problems with the forum so My guess is that is trouble in your machine. Have you tried Chrome? Try resetting you personal setting on the forum.
What thread was it you tried to respond to?

Re: Post not found?
Camprn, I tried Chrome and it and me did not get along? Firefox is doing ok and has fixed the issue I had before with being logged out of the forum.
Several threads that I was following, cannot remember which ones, were not found or no post there, when I clicked in the email. I will see in a bit if I can get it to do it again, so I can maybe get to the bottom of this.
The thread that I tried to post in was 'Cats in your garden' The post was not important, just aggravating, since this is a fairly new computer.
I cannot fix it til I can get it to do it repeatedly.
Thanks, Jo

Re: Post not found?
I moved the new thread about cats to the old one. I deleted your request to fix one of your previous posts as there is no need to keep such a request in the thread. Maybe that is part of the confusion.

I too had probs like that recently , I PM'd Rooster and this was his reply .
By the time I'd gone back to the thread it had cleared itself . My PC was doing its daily update when I clicked the email link to go and read the thread. I suspect it may have been that that caused the hicccup.
Has yours cleared up on its own?

No, the thread is still there. Try clearing cache and cookies. Thread can be found in compost forum. It's sticky'd.

The " How strong is your back bone ? " threads seem to have run away and hid
When I clicked on the email notification about it at 14.54 UK time it came up as no threads exist .
When editing the posts in it have you edited / deleted the biggy ? If not you was it Boffer ? ..I'm having a mega memory dysfunction this afternoon

Re: Post not found?
Thanks David, I think something had a hiccup. I believe, maybe, The software sent me an email notification, and before I clicked the link, the thread's address was changed. I have 1 email that still sends me to 'post is not found'.
I will never know enough to be able to outsmart this computer, so I will try not to let it bother me too much.

table topper...
Check that you use a capital " T " when sending Pm's to " Triciasgarden " .
I've been caught out several times in similar circumstances by being dyslexic and leaving out capitalizations etc.

Re: Post not found?
I am sorry that the forum might be having troubles, but, I'm glad that it is not just me. To send a PM, find a post that the person has written, and try clicking at bottom of their info, the pm icon, and see if that works for you.
