Here is a shot of a portion of my fall garden (zinnias, spinach, radish, kale, brussel sprouts, beets, carrots, lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli...with jalepeno peppers still hanging in there and a few tomatoes still ripening on the vines). With my garden location, I will actually start to receive more hours of sunlight once the leaves from my large bur oak trees fall.fall garden pics - update Octobe12

about half my beets didn't turn out too well...the bad ones look like this...nice tops but no beets. I had much better luck in the spring (fall should be best). My compost for the fall garden could have been too rich (too much nitrogen) and not enough phosphorus (hardwood ash)fall garden pics - update Bad_be10

some beets did well and we'll probalby pick this weekfall garden pics - update Beets11

romaine lettuce...I plant en entire packet farily dense...I think it helps keep the plants small and tender.fall garden pics - update Romain11

I still have small cages around my jalapeno peppers...still getting blooms and new peppers forming with the cooler weather...and there's nothing like real rain for the garden.

landarch......Love the fall garden. Now that's what I call curbside service. How smart to use the space provided.
Camprn.....You can start some lettuce seed in some shallow pots indoors and they'll grow if you keep them near your table lamps (use daylight bulbs). Mine is doing great indoors. I'll go take a picture.
