Garden Update - Pics
Here are a updated shots of my boxes...I've been slowly adding more compost and coffee ground mulch to the soil and things are taking off.
Green Beans are starting to come up...rabbits nailed the first round of seedlings.
Cucumbers came up within two days of planting...I have them beneath a vertical cattle panel trellis.
Gerbera Daisy for some color in a corner square (makes the wife happy)
One of my 4'x8' boxes...front half converted to SFG, back half is my version of Square Inch Gardening (lettuce and beets in and around roma tomatoes for shade...marigolds where I can fit them in). For my determinate tomato varieties (Roma, Rutgers, Celebrity) I am caging some and also trying a layered horizontal trellis (several layers of concrete reinforcing steel mesh hung from 4 steel t-posts. One can see this on the right side of the photo.
