I have wild sorrel growing in my beds. The roots go deep but have not seemed to bother any one around them. They are perennial or maybe only biannual, seems like i have some plants in the same spot always. I throw the leaves in salads or for braising with other greens. The roots I use for dyeing wool a golden yellow.

Have wanted to learn to spin & weave but just not enough time. Maybe someday! Sticking to knitting.

I won't let myself get interested in felting or basket weaving........ I got to draw a line somewhere. I have a rug on the big loom that I started the weaving of about a dozen or more years ago....

I do felting
Currently in the process of cleaning my sewing, crafting, knitting room (on a break) and have already carried out 3 project bags, all with more than one unfinished project inside. Really would like to get into dyeing my own wool with different herbs grown in my garden, but alas, NOT ENOUGH TIME! Must remember I do have limitations!

Hey Annelies, what spacing are you going with for the sorrel? Also, what does it taste like and how do you use it? My brother in law is from Poland and I'm growing some for him.
Thanks!
