Hello from Eastern PA
I am trying to grow vegetables again after reading the revised SqFG book and talking with a friend who encouraged me. We built a little 2x8 foot raised bed in late April right next to the back porch to eliminate my worst flaw- neglecting to monitor/water my plants. My husband also put a little 3x3 box nearby.
So far...success with everything except the beets. We have been eating salads from the garden and are just amazed at how the more outer leaves we eat, the faster the romaine grows.
Wish me luck with the cherry tomatoes. I have only known failure before.

I know what you mean, AMarie, about picking the outer leaves and them continuing to grow so fast! It seems to work with all the leafy greens. I even do it to my cabbage, but I don't know if that means it won't head up or whatever.
I started small this spring, too. But I keep adding and adding more boxes and garden space. It's like a crazy addiction!
If your cherry toms are in sun and have airy space around them they should be fine.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
