Nice to "meet" a new member.
I hope you have read ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING by Mel Bartholomew and published in 2006. This forum provides good support to the book.
Please feel free to ask questions and share your progress.

Me too
Hi,
I am new and in eastern North Carolina too. I must be a little north of you as I am in zone 8a. I am currently gathering ingredients for Mel's Mix and seeds. I am trying to figure out what to plant when.

Re: Hiya from Eastern NC!
I love this method of gardening and I think you will too. NC gardens fight heat and bugs. Lairvine, it sounds like you may be right on the beach if you have a salt problem and I don't have any advice for you.
