New Seed Sprouter and the Girls
I ordered a 4 tray seed sprouter from MyPatriotSupply.com the other day. It arrived on Wednesday, so I immediately started to sprouting some of the free Alfalfa seeds they supplied with it.
Day one of seeds
Seeds Day 2
Seeds day 3
I gave some of the day 3 sprouts to the Girls this morning with their warm oatmeal and they chowed them right down!
And because I can't resist the Girls in all their humerous wonder, I had to share this photo. We got our first "REAL" snow last night, maybe 3" at most, so my son had to shovel a narrow path for the hens to walk down so they could get to the seed under the bird feeder this afternoon...they were reluctant at first until he spread some seed along the path for a few feet...then single file they went, looking around like they were lost. The poor things!

Yep, it has a lid. I'll post a pic later of the whole setup, as my battery died for my camera - it's charging now. It was the deal of the day for $12.95 when I purchased it the other day. I think normal price is $14.95. It's stackable with a bottom resrvoir to collect the left over water after each watering.
