Hi from Lower Alabama

Hi y'all. I live in Russell county, Alabama. For the most part I enjoy great weather. I planted 4 4X4 raised beds in August and love them. I am now putting them in my friends yards for Christmas. Talked to my Pastor at Church yesterday about putting in a community garden. He said sure. So my work is cut out for me now. I would like to see square foot gardens in every yard. Food prices are getting to high for families with less hours of work or unemployed. Communities coming together one town at a time is where I am headed with my gardening. I planted 2 6X3 raised beds at my ex-husband house in October. He loves it. They are enjoying the salads out of it every week. Thanks so much for any help or advice. Paula Fire Fighter 129

P.S. When I retired a few years ago, I decided to go to Alabama Fire College to be a Fire Fighter like my son. So I am a 45 y/o fire fighter granny!
