garbage can Empty garbage can

I started my very first atempt at composting a few days ago. I bought a cheap 50 gallon garbage can and drilled holes in it. Just wondering if any of you use this method, and if it's been successful. Our temps have still been in the 40's and 50's, so I know it will be slow to start cooking.

If you have not yet read the Compost 101 thread I would encourage you to do so. There are multiple threads revolving around composting that you may find useful. You should be able to get good compost out of a garbage can system if you provide all the things needed to get it heating up and actively composting. Very Happy
