Saturday it was in the 70's, today it's 38 & snow flurries. I'm tired of carrying my tomatoes & peppers in & out.

It's been pretty crazy down here too! The trees are all confused about whether it's fall or spring! My allergies have been going haywire. Shocked

Crazy weather Empty Grapes in SFG

Post  samir 3/22/2010, 9:40 pm

I got the following reply from a friend who does nursery work here in my area:

"Grapes aren't so good in a SFG but they are great against any fence, trellis, or building. Their root system is extensive, and would eventually take over a SFG as grapes are perennial (they come back every year). Do you have a wall you could put a trellis on or a fence? They are very hardy and tough to kill and they grow really well here. Yes, use the same mix and back fill the hole with that mix. We got Manure, and peat (a big bale) at home depot and had to go out to J&J in Layton, UT for a big bag of perlite, but it was much cheaper there.

Hope this is of some help
