More Crazy Weather
Ok it was supposed to be 70degs today with and east wind and a 30pecent chance of rain I went to bed with all the window up listening to the frogs and woke up to the clouds and I know it ain't all that cold but it feels it compared to yesterday, I sure hope that it improves enough that I can get some of the things I had planned for today done.

I feel your pain. We got caught with part of that storm last night, I think your a bit south so it may not have affected you too much. Just cloudy out now. On the bright side, one of my lettuce seeds finally started sprouting.

That storm scooted right around our mountain thank goodness! Considering how bad a time we had with the last storms it is about time we catch a break. Geez!

Re: More Crazy Weather
Golf ball to softball sized hail here in my neck of the woods. Thought the roof was going to collapse and windows going to smash !!!
Tornado watch all night....I dreading going out in the morning to check on the garden.
With the hail damaging cars, my plants don't stand a chance

Woke up @ 1 am with ferocious winds and hail pelting the house - but just little pea-sized stuff so no damage. Glad I got out and built the boxes when I did because we are now supposed to have rain for the rest of the week!

Re: More Crazy Weather
I'm glad that everyone who has gone through these current storms is okay, and thanks for sharing your experience.
BYBG and I are trying to keep those in the Midwest and Lower South updated on the weather. What's on the maps now looks pretty mild compared to what is expected later on today and tomorrow, I said looks, there was already on tornado that hit a small town in Iowa pretty hard. Please keep an eye on your local weather forcasts and check out your favorite online weather place. To quote Betty Davis in All About Eve, "Fasten your seatbelts it's going to be a bumpy ride".

Shredded garden.
Not destroyed but lots of damage everywhere. HUGE holes punched through the large Broccoli leaves. Looks like someone took scissors to the lettuce (glad I harvested a bunch yesterday).
Oh well, mother nature...I'm thankful because there is a lot worse out there...Tornado direct hit, Japan etc etc. So I'm good
