Just got home from 10 days vacation
The radishes are up that I planted in my fall garden and so is every single one of the supermarket variety of garlic that I planted. What's up with that???? I thought it was not supposed to come up until next spring!!!! None of the other garlic that I planted is up.
My pole beans have loads of beans on them and of course, because I wasn't here to pick them, they are huge and too tough to eat. However, there are still quite a few small ones on them so I may get another meal out of them. The strawberries are still coming on strong. Gotta love those everbearing ones.
My sunflowers are blooming and so are my glads and cosmos.....FINALLY! That is what I get for planting that stuff so late.
To welcome me home we had our first frost last night here in my zone 3b garden. Went down to -1C overnight and we had to scrape frost off the windshield this morning. Sigh! Not much longer now. Even though I was very tired after a 14 hour day yesterday, I made sure I covered the tomatoes although they are under the roof overhang. Just don't want to take any chances. There is nothing like the taste of vine ripened tomatoes! I had picked a dozen or so ripe ones before I left and took some with me to my mom and there were another half dozen ripe ones when we got home yesterday.
It was such a gorgeous sunny day today so I took some pics this afternoon when I got home from work. I am going to try my hand at posting some tonight. We will see how that goes.

Oh, yes, please do take pics to share with us. It's still in the mid-90'sF here, running about 10F above normal. Fall garden is just not going to do -- too hot for anything cool weather to germinate well. Pits! But so happy to hear your garden is doing well despite your being gone for so long.

Well, took lots of pics but then had to learn how to import them from the camera into the computer. Then sort, crop, etc. What a process! That is a very steep learning curve for me. But I am working on it so should be soon! right now, it is off to work.

shelly beans?
GK, are your pole beans filled out enough to shell out the seeds and cook as shelly beans? Allowing them to set seeds in the pods will cut down on the amount of pods produced by the plant, but at least you can salvage something from them.
Hope you can get your photos posted.
