Just checking in to say hi
Hi, I am new to SFG and plan to have at least 2-4x4 gardens ready for the fall. I live in the Sevierville, TN area which is near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

It is interesting that you are in Dover, ARk. We were just in Russellville a few weeks ago for a family reunion and my husband was raised in Dover and went to Dover High. Good gardening in your area.

Re: Just checking in to say hi
Hi Megan,
I planted some Collards, Cabbage and Broccoli transplants. In a couple of weeks I will plant some Spinach seeds. I am new to SFG and to TN (Zone 6B), having just moved here from FL (Zone 9.) I am real excited about my garden and just hope it will be successful. I am a tad late in planting this stuff so I am not sure how it will do. Even if it fails because of weathe,r I will feel that it was good practice for the Spring when I will add another SFQ. I have followed Mel's techniques to a tee as far as soil etc. I think the concept is great and seems so much easier than the old single row gardening of the past. I would love to post some pictures of my garden and to put a picture on my profile but do not know how to do it. Can you help me with that. Thanks a lot and happy gardening.

Re: Just checking in to say hi
Hi birdlady,
That sounds very exciting! I am new to SFG myself this year, have had a mixed bag of results but overall it has gone really well. I am in Zone 7A. I want to plant some things for fall in the next few days here. Not sure if I will have time for everything, but it's worth a shot, right?
For posting pictures and so forth, try here:
https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/how-to-f33/
To add a picture to your profile ("avatar"), you can click on "profile" on the bar just below the main SFG header on the page, and then pick "avatar", and follow instructions from there.
Hope that is not too vague. If that is not enough, please post back and I will try to provide more detailed help.
