I rarely go to Oahu but I would sure go for this. Or maybe you all could come to Kauai!

Not sure I could take this off on taxes, but I'd sure try! Just need some heads-up time to make sure the money's in the bank to go!
But count me in!

This is great!
So, how do we start organizing this? Do we contact the list of certified gardeners in Hawaii and ask them to be there then survey and set a date?

Sounds like a plan Nan.
We need to look at our calendars and see what good times would be, how many days, where. I'm presuming part of a weekend? Midweek is more open for me but I do have some weekends available. About one a month.
My calendar has many limitations but I do know the entire year of 2016 information so would know when would not be a good time.
I guess it would be Oahu? I'm partial to Kauai, of course.
What time of year? Maybe a time when weather is not as amiable on the mainland? But, of course, we cannot guaranty weather anywhere.
This could get to be exciting. It would be so great to see others in person!!

Re: Hawaii SFG Association
I got one of those scams in my email saying I had been selected to receive $3,555,000 and I had been selected because this person wanted to share her lottery winnings with deserving people. They actually gave me a site where this person had won her money. I am sure the siTe was genuine, but of course they were just using that news report.
I replied, saying that $50,000 would be very nice.
I never expected a reply, but I did get one so I lead them on, knowing that no way was I going to give them any money. So I duly received the OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION from the National Westminster Bank in England that indeed I had been given this huge sum of money that was just waiting in their bank ready to be put in my account.
Luckily, I just do not have $600 to send so that I can get my $50,000, nor $900 to get $1,000,000, let alone whatever would be needed to get $3,555,00 US.
So far I have had several emails and several phone calls but they are getting fewer as I expect they realize that they are flogging a dead horse, or an old lady who is not ga-ga. The telephone voice does not sound quite like a London Banker, more like Ghana,or maybe Nigeria.
I am so disappointed, as I would have loved to have a meeting in Hawai'i and treated you all to first class air fair and hotels. etc.

Oh, yes.... Me too.
The biggest thing for us right now is "deaf" folks wanting us to teach classes to their children who must return to work within the next few weeks. They want us to send money to the "limo service." Please........
But if you decide to have us over, I'll try my best to be there, Nan!!
