What's this stuff, for Peet's sake?
Saw this at HD. Claimed to be a substitute for peet, but were vague about actual ingredients. Seems to be a mix of things including compost. It was half the cost of the real peet.

Re: What's this stuff, for Peet's sake?
Another gimmick. Their web site says it is made out of "horticultural and agricultural residuals", whatever that means. And, since it is "proprietary process", they won't tell anyone....
The Bio-Fiber Process
Through our patented and proprietary process, we’re able to extract bio-fibers from horticultural and agricultural residuals, creating a sustainable, renewable resource that’s better for the entire environment because it optimizes land use, limits water consumption and maximizes resources we already have available to us."In short, the soil food web feeds everything you eat and helps keep your favorite planet from getting too hot. Be nice to it." ~ Diane Miessler, "Grow Your Soil"

Oh, for Pete's sake! Who is going to put this secret ingredient in their garden. Oh, wait. Lots of people would.
I'm picturing chopped up cotton, corn stalk and hemp fibers that have not been composted.
