For Peat's Sake!

I built my second box of the spring and filled it (properly) with MM. During this "filling" I quickly realized a mistake I made while filling the first one. Kind of like getting distracted while measuring flour or sugar for mixing cake batter or cookie dough, I was distracted at the point of measuring my peat moss. In fact, I didn't even measure! I had all parts dumped on the tarp, and was so excited that I dumped the entire 3 cubic foot compressed bag of peat into the mix, and in the box it all went. Granted, I used 8 inch boards, so it's a little deeper, there is still way too much peat in the mix. This was about a month ago, and all the plants are doing well, it seems. There are tomatoes, onions, baby watermelon, peppers, okra, and strawberries.

Should I expect any adverse reactions from these plants in the future? And should I do anything now, or just make an adjustment for the fall planting?

You may have a problem keeping this bed wet and I expect you will have some nutrition problems later. Top dress the plants with your 5 blend compost or worm castings (or homemade) and be prepared to give them some compost tea as the growing season progresses. Be a bit more diligent on checking this particular bed and you should be ok.
