Hello everyone,

This is my first attempt at Square foot gardening........ Many years ago I had a traditional Garden, but I got tired of the weeds, and disarray from Tomato plants gone crazy. I stumbled upon a site that talked about SFG, and ended up buying Mel's book. I currently have four 4' x 4' boxes going, and so far everything is going well. Two of the boxes are strictly for Silver Queen Corn, and the other two have 1) 4 types of Tomatoes, 2) three types of Lettuce 3) One Dill herb plant 4) one Jalapeno plant 5) Two Sugar baby Watermelons 6) Radishes 7) Carrots Cool Parsley 9) Cilantro, and 10) Basil.

Hopefully things will continue as planned.... I'll try and post photos in the future.

Thanks

Don

Howdy Don:

Welcome to the SFG forum and family. We are a diverse group of folks who have in common our love of gardening in a square. Here we think "inside the box" and love to share our experiences so if anyone here can help with your garden please ask. We learn from each question and from each answer.

God Bless, Ward and Mary.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome....besides the Squirrels eating some of my Corn, everything is growing well. I took care of the Squirrel problem by putting chicken wire covers over everything, as per Mel's book, and replanted the eaten Corn. Again, thanks for the Welcomes'.
