Greetings from Wilmington, NC
I'm off and running with my first attempt at gardening of any kind. We've always traveled a lot in the summers, but now health problems have grounded us here in Wilmington, our home town where the welcome mat is always out.
I was introduced to SFG by a friend, and it seems so user-friendly. Row gardening always looked so intimidating! At any rate, my two 4X4 boxes (and grids) are made, landscape cloth in place, and now it's time to add the MMM and get some things in the ground.
One thing that's already been a big help is this Forum, where I discovered the planning guide offered by Gardeners' Supply, which helped me get off square one. Now i'm going to check in here regularly for more help, because Lord knows I'll need it!

Sounds good. Hopefully you have the All New Square Foot Gardening book. You will refer to it often even though this forum is at your fingertips too. Best wishes for a great garden and welcome to the forum Bob.

Bob!
If you have never really gardened before, this is DEFINITELY the method for you! You get to skip all the hard stuff of traditional gardening!

You must see the set up my son has in Wilmington. We are down near Monkey Junction. Send me a PM and maybe we can compare gardens. I'm in Wilmington until mid May.

Hi, Kay...We're just north of you, off College Road on Holly Tree; turn east (right) at the Krispy Kreme...do not stop there! Give me a call and I'd be happy to head your way for a look at your garden: 231.2746.
I just got the MMM mixed and into the two 4x4 plots I have. Now I have to let my back recuperate!
